    The Role:
    As our Operations and Communications Specialist, you will play a vital role in building and strengthening community relationships, supporting impactful initiatives, and promoting volunteer engagement and community events. This position is perfect for someone who excels in communication, thrives in relationship-building, and has a deep commitment to advancing our mission.     Key Responsibilities:
    • Serve as the operational backbone for office administration, ensuring smooth day-to-day functions.
    • Support the execution of local events and holiday programs that bring the community together.
    • Drive volunteer engagement by promoting opportunities across various platforms and channels.
    • Provide essential support for United Way events, campaigns, and grant programs to meet the diverse needs of our community.
    • Assist with community outreach and help amplify our mission through effective communication strategies.
    What We’re Looking For:
    The ideal candidate will have:
    • A proactive, solutions-oriented approach and a strong work ethic.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to inspire, inform, and engage.
    • Relevant experience or education in office management, event coordination, and community relations.
    • Outstanding organizational skills with an eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Proficiency in tools like Canva, Microsoft Office and Google Suite
    • Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate various events and community needs.
