Wayne State College is seeking a Graduate Program Coordinator.
Nature of Work:
The Graduate Program Coordinator is responsible for recruitment, communications, and degree tracking for graduate students. This position serves as a primary point of contact for prospective students, and collaborates with employers, school districts, and other off-campus constituents. Using enrollment data, this position reports on graduate admissions outcomes and effectiveness.
Examples of Work Performed:
1. Recruitment and Outreach
- Assist with the development and management of targeted communication strategies to attract a diverse group of students to all graduate study.
- Serve as a liaison between Academic Affairs and individual schools to coordinate recruitment and admission activities for each graduate program.
- Represent graduate study at recruiting events to enhance visibility.
- Implement, evaluate, and update graduate student recruitment plans.
- Stay informed about the curricula and requirements of all graduate programs.
- Create and update online orientation materials for incoming graduate students.
2. Application Process Management
- Stay informed about the latest graduate admission processes and enrollment criteria.
- Act as the primary contact for prospective graduate students, providing information, answering inquiries, and connecting applicants with appropriate academic programs.
- Oversee and manage the online application for graduate admissions.
- Ensure that application materials are complete and organized for faculty review when necessary.
- Monitor applications throughout the process to ensure timely decision-making.
- Assist in gathering data on current and past applications and admissions, tracking graduate enrollments, and providing recommendations for improvements in recruitment and application procedures.
3. Operational Responsibilities
- Assist with generating weekly reports and analyzing data related to enrollment, retention, graduation, and other relevant metrics.
- Maintain knowledge and professional development in CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems.
