Friday, September 24, 2021Grand Island business leaders listed workforce and housing as their top concerns during a meeting with Nebraska Chamber staff Thursday at the Riverside Golf Club. The meeting was sponsored by the Grand Island Chamber of Commerce and the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce and Industry. More than a dozen people attended the hourlong meeting where they focused on concerns and opportunities that need to be addressed to keep the community growing. Friday, August 6, 2021Grand Island’s economy saw a huge boost in May as it had the best ever net taxable sales of $98,386,000 for that month, according to recent figures from the Nebraska Department of Revenue. Friday, July 30, 2021Statistics released by the Grand Island Chamber of Commerce this week shows the average sold price of a house in Grand Island in June was $220,529, compared to $171,016 in June of 2020, which is an increase of nearly $50,000 in a 12-month period.
